Clerks at two different stores yesterday gave me this chipper advice, word for word. I’m pretty sure the ‘s’ at the end of ‘year’ is meant to make it possessive, but I rather like the idea that they’re actually saying “new years”, making the plural of ‘year’ clash with the singular article ‘a’ as some kind of dadaist comment...
